keep your curiosity. when we’re young we’re taught to stop asking “why? why? why?” but train yourself back into it. ask about everything. why are things darker when they’re wet? how come you know the smell of your house even if you don’t usually notice it? why is one word “good” and the other a “curse”?

and when you start asking other people, something opens in them. there are these stories that are waiting to be told: why she always carries around that notebook. why he never takes off his necklace, even to shower. why they seem sad lately. be gentle, ask questions. notice other people. you will learn a lot from them.
